With gratitude and warm wishes, we announce that Sarah Jones-Morris, co-founding CEO of the Association of Collaborative Design (ACD), will be stepping back from her voluntary leadership role within the organisation.
“It has been an incredible journey with ACD, and the team's dedication truly humbles me. Together, we have built an inspiring and impactful organisation which will continue to thrive.”
Sarah Jones-Morris
Since co-founding ACD in 2020, Sarah has played a pivotal role in shaping the vision and growth of the Association, driving its mission to foster interdisciplinary, tangible and practicable change, and collaborative approaches to engagement and design that inspire innovation across the built environment professions.
During her time with ACD, Sarah brought people together and collaborated to advance impactful initiatives. These include:
forming and establishing Association of Collaborative Design in 2019
leading the development and writing of the recently published Engagement Overlay to the RIBA Plan of Work
encouraging team members to drive the ACD Conversation Lab, the International Voices conference, and the inaugural ACD Journal
championing the ACD network’s research and resource materials by publishing the valuable information accessible through the ACD website
supporting ACD’s involvement in the UN World Urban Campaign, mainly through the Language in the City: Connecting Beyond Borders initiative, further strengthening the organisation’s presence on the global stage.
We thank Sarah for her leadership, vision and dedication, and we look forward to seeing her continued contributions to collaborative design through her own practice, Landsmith Associates, and her new lecturer role at the University of Gloucester.
ACD remains committed to the values Sarah helped instil, and we are excited to move forward under Kara de los Reyes and Jo Morrison’s leadership, alongside director Nataly Raab and the amazing ACD team. Upcoming plans include a new online conference, an expanded training programme, and ongoing collaborative efforts that embody the organisation's spirit.
We wish Sarah all the best in her future endeavours and look forward to her continued influence within the field and beyond.
